Louisiana Maneuvers

Prior to activation, the Cadre of the 87th Infantry Division participated in a Command Post Exercise in Louisiana from 29 November to 13 December 1942 under X Corps commanded by Maj. Gen. Courtney H. Hodges. The exercise was conducted by Lt. Gen. Walter Krueger's Third Army Headquarters.
