    My father Sidney Kleinman was in the 87th, and I stored all the anedotes he told us, but only became an academic historian as he was ageing. Many unanswered questions now! I've read Lester Attwell's Private too. Anthony Beevor may sell books, but his flippant dismissal of the 87th in Ardennes, as if the riflemen like my Dad were responsible for their feeble leadership, is unscholarly. Anyone who experienced Dec 44 > Jan 45 and traversed Germany, via Eisenach, deserves nothing less than our unmitigating respect for their bravery. Stalwart & Strong***

    Hi I was just searching for my father who was in the 334th infantry div. 84th div . Looking for a map or to purchase a book I saw on the 84th railsplitters. Also any contacts on Military.com to see if there is anyone living for him to contact. Thanks
